Horse Stories Needed
by Cheryl Dudley, author of "Legendary Appaloosa" and her new book titled "The Horses That Saved My Life" . This new book needs possible publication entries from all horse owners who have a story to tell about their horse or horses that have saved their life physically or emotionally. The story can be in draft form (not perfect) to be approved for publication.
Cheryl Dudley's 1st book, Legendary Appaloosa, was published last year by Lyons Press and endorsed by the ApHC.

One of our members, Lisa Estridge of Palisades Appaloosas has three spotlight stories featuring appaloosas.
Spotlight #1: An article written by Jeannie Blancq Putney with photos by Natalie Kostikova was published in the "Appaloosa Journal" (March 2008) under the heading of HorseKeeping 101-Foaling Finesse, and this is where you can find Lisa's views on how to take the best care of a foal as soon as
it hits the ground and beyond...

Spotlight #2: Many of Lisa's mare's and foal's pictures, along with her stallion named, "Dreamin Dun" were featured in a
book titled, "Legendary Appaloosa".
Spotlight #3: A short story written about a special filly (now deceased) named "Morning Glory" was also published
in the same book.

NEW SPOTLIGHT:
The May 2008 issue-Vol.62, No.5 Appaloosa Journal features a colt on the front cover that was born and bred at Palisades Appaloosas-check it out!
Palisades Appaloosas also has a story appearing in Russian Horse World Magazine in 2007. This is the second article focusing on Lisa's farm after the first article that focused on the appaloosa breed. Lisa is also on the front cover riding one of her favorite geldings!
Members named Tom & Crystal Keenan of Rockin' K Ranch has a spotlight story also representing the appaloosa breed.
Spotlight #1: An article that was edited by Tafra Donberger and published in the "Appaloosa Journal" (March 2008) under the heading of Field Notes {Faces and Places} about their red roan mare named "WinnieCoos Full Moon" going to Costa Rica!
There, she will be a part of a grand theme park for
domestic animals and exotics called "Panaca"
for all visitors and tourists to see...
